Description The Clinical Nurse provides direct patient care and supports the clinical team by collecting vital patient data through triage, phone encounters, and record reviews. They prioritize assignments, assist with medication prior authorizations, and deliver care according to established plans and office policies. This role requires excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other departments, adaptability in unpredictable situations, and proficiency in electronic medical record systems. The Clinical Nurse is expected to complete assignments independently and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Provides nursing care to patients and accepts delegation from assigned supervisor and/or provider to meet the needs of the patient/family Collects data and information to assist the clinical team and/or the provider in patient assessment and care planning which includes but is not limited to: Triaging patients Communicating through telephone encounters Reviewing past documents Reviewing hospital/clinical records Prioritizing patient assignments Completing patient assistance and prior authorizations for medications?
