CMDB ANALYST

On behalf of our worker’s compensation client, Procom is searching for a CMDB Analyst III for a 4-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Richmond office.

CMDB ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

Support the Client’s project team to implement ServiceNow ITOM Visibility with a focus on expanding inventory of existing configuration management data base (onboarding of additional classes) and developing the required processes to ingest additional inventory records and keep the records up to date. This includes recommending workflow/procedures for keeping data up to date for the entire lifecycle of the configuration items.

CMDB ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Have experience establishing a CM and CMDB practice
  • Has experience aligning CMDB data with: ITSM practices, Monitoring/Observability, Vulnerability Management, and goals to increase visibility of Business Applications and related infrastructure Configuration Items for teams in the Technology division
  • Have experience defining roles & responsibilities for CMDB practice
  • Have experience developing governance framework for a CMDB practice including a Configuration Control Board, Owners, and monitoring overall accuracy and completeness of CMDB content.
  • Have experience performing fit/gap analysis and documentation of out of the box CMDB features
  • Have experience data gathering, engaging with multiple data owner groups to obtain and validate accuracy of CMDB content.
  • Have ability to create and manage reports illustrating CMDB data alignment to business process impact (e.g. metrics for improvement to Asset Management financial information completeness & up to date; quantity of IT infrastructure items impacted by projects per year; identifying IT infrastructure items supporting critical business processes to prioritize for vulnerability resolution, identifying incidents that ca be avoided by better change management).
  • Have experience developing processes and procedures related to the configuration management practice.
  • Have Technical Business Analysis experience
