This position qualifies for an annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to the value of $10,000 (conditions apply and may be pro-rata’d to your contracted or ordinary working hours, these payments are paid on a fortnightly basis) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme.
This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

Responsibilities
  • The role is designed to ensure individuals residing in Buronga and surrounding communities have access to timely and effective MHDA assessment, treatment and counselling for the effects of mental illness, significant psychosocial distress and suicidality, inclusive of high risk civil consumers and people released from custody.
  • It is offered in response to ongoing social stressors in these areas including isolation, drought, higher than average unemployment levels, higher than average levels of substance misuse and higher levels of incarceration.
