Position Summary – CMM Operator  The CMM Operator is responsible for performing precision dimensional inspections using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify sheet metal and machined components meet engineering and customer requirements. This role supports First Article Inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, final inspections, and capability studies while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and AS9102 standards. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, working knowledge of GD&T, and experience operating and basic programming CMM equipment in a high-precision aerospace manufacturing environment.  Responsibilities:  • Operate manual and/or CNC CMM equipment. • Develop and edit CMM programs using applicable software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso) • Validate programs prior to production release. • Optimize programs for repeatability and efficiency. • Maintain probe calibration and qualification routines. • Perform dimensional inspection of: CNC milled components, turned parts, tight-tolerance aerospace hardware, complex geometric features. • Inspect sheet metal assemblies for profile, true position, flatness, and perpendicularity. • Verify features including Hole location and diameter, surface profile, geometric tolerances, thread features (when applicable). • Support AS9102-compliant First Article Inspection activities. •And other duties as assigned based on business needs.  Required Skills and Experience • Strong GD&T knowledge. • Blueprint interpretation skills. • Experience with common CMM software platforms. • Effective communication with machinists and engineers. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
