ALIGN Executive Search has partnered with a leading aerospace manufacturing company to find a CMM Programmer with a strong background in aerospace machine manufacturing and CMM inspection.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic CMM Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience with CMM programming, PC-DMIS software, and quality inspection processes in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY:

  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance or related experience
  • Advanced experience with CMM programming and PC-DMIS programming
  • Ability to work with CATIA models, SolidWorks, IGES, and STEP files
  • Advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T) knowledge
  • Some exposure to CAD/CAM, CNC programming, DPD, and MBD
  • Proficiency with measurement instruments (calipers, height gage, pin gages, optical comparator, plug/thread gages, radius gages, etc.)
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or AS9100 preferred
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to read and write in English (fluency in Spanish is a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities
  • Program and inspect manufactured products using CMM / PC-DMIS software
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Inspect manufactured and processed products using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator)
  • Interpret planning documents, tool design, engineering drawings, specifications, and quality inspection procedures to create accurate inspection records
  • Inspect raw material, metal castings, forgings, extrusions, and machined parts
  • Perform additional inspections for outside processes such as anodize, heat treat, and plating
