DESIRED SKILLS

  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities
  • Proficiency in quality control methodologies and practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with machining processes and tooling is highly desirable.
  • Experience using Polyworks.
  • Solid math skills for precise calculations related to measurements and tolerances.

EXPERIENCE WITH:

Responsibilities
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM), to perform dimensional inspections.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure accurate measurements and quality control Ensure compliance with customer and legislative quality requirements
    Collaborate with engineering teams using SolidWorks and CAD software for design validation.

Maintain records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities

  • Support production teams to meet internal and client QMS standards
  • Maintain Lean and 5S initiatives within the department
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Operations on product transfers
  • Conduct internal audits and close out findings
  • Analyze failures and customer complaints to drive preventive actions
  • Manage quality documentation (manuals, procedures, reports)
  • Oversee receiving and outgoing quality functions
  • Conduct layout inspections and release finished products
  • Ensure daily first-off and in-process inspections on all machines as required
