Position Overview: Please note that this position is offered as a temporary consulting engagement with an approximate project timeline of 6-12 months. The CMMS Project Manager (Consultant) will oversee the configuration and optimization of the rollout of our computerized maintenance management systems to streamline asset maintenance and facility operations. Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Configuration: Lead the configuration, and rollout of CMMS software to improve maintenance workflows. Asset Data Management: Maintain a complete, accurate inventory of assets, including location, condition, and maintenance history. Workflow & Optimization: Define, map, and enforce maintenance, repair, and parts inventory procedures within the system. Training & Support: Train staff in system usage, develop user documentation, and provide technical helpdesk support. Reporting & Analytics: Analyze CMMS data to generate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), forecast maintenance needs, and drive decision-making. Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with software vendors for upgrades/problems and with internal teams to align system capabilities with business needs. What we require: 3+ years of experience working with CMMS platforms (e.g., IBM Maximo, Fiix, eMaint, Hippo, Infor, etc.). Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Strong experience in maintenance operations, facilities management, asset management, or a related technical environment. Strong experience leading software implementations, system configurations, or digital transformation projects. Proven experience managing asset data, maintenance workflows, and inventory processes within a CMMS. Demonstrated ability to train end users, develop documentation, and provide ongoing system support. Strong analytical skills with experience generating KPIs, dashboards, and maintenance performance reports. Experience collaborating with cross functional teams and coordinating with software vendors or technical partners. Excellent communication, project management, and problem solving skills. What We Prefer: 5+ years of experience in CMMS administration or maintenance systems optimization. Hands on experience with CMMS system selection, RFP processes, or enterprise level rollouts. Certifications such as: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) Project Management Professional (PMP) Facilities Management certifications (IFMA, BOMA, etc.) Familiarity with asset lifecycle management, preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, or reliability engineering. Experience integrating CMMS with ERP, IoT sensors, or building automation systems.
