Description

We are looking for a CMRITO-certified medical imaging professional (e.g., MRT, DMS, etc.) to join our team as a Research Assistant and DXA Operator. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to expand into clinical research, gain hands-on experience with body composition and muscle imaging, and work on studies that will be translated directly to athletes, clinicians, and the public.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active registration with CMRITO (Medical Radiation Technologist, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or equivalent)
  • Interest in research, body composition, and human physiology
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
    Job Types: Part-time, Casual, Freelance
    Pay: $17.63-$40.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 1 – 15 per week

  • Oakville, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Operate and manage DXA scanning for research participants (training provided; certification support available)
  • Assist with data collection, including height/weight, strength testing, and ultrasound imaging (training provided)
  • Support participant scheduling, screening, and informed consent
  • Ensure data quality and assist with secure data entry
  • Maintain participant privacy and adhere to research ethics standards
  • Collaborate with the PI and study team to ensure protocol compliance
  • Help create a clean, professional, and supportive research environment
