By enrolling in our CNA program, you will gain an invaluable introduction into the healthcare industry, while providing high-quality care to our Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Star Parents. The CNA class begins March 6, 2026 and runs through May 14, 2026. The class provides a combination of classroom instruction and clinical experience. Graduates who pass the Maine CNA competency exam may qualify to pursue full-time or part-time 2nd and 3rd shift employment opportunities at MVH-Augusta. Take that step to begin your career in healthcare today! Requirements High school diploma or GED Must be able to read at the 10th grade level and pass a written English exam demonstrating this. Requires proficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to understand and respond to residents’ needs and inquiries in English is required. Ability to effectively understand and communicate verbally and in writing, in English, is required.
