Must be certified within 4 months of hire. - One year of experience in long-term care, hospice, or healthcare desired (not required). Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities: - Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics. - The ability to verbally communicate with residents, staff, and visitors. - Shows dependability by being punctual and maintaining good attendance. - The ability to maintain a safe environment for Residents and co-workers. - The ability to transport Residents and equipment as needed. - Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. - Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Other Special Requirements: - Ability to work nights and weekends to accommodate the needs of the guests. - Tolerate potential exposure to blood, body tissues, and fluids with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases. - Manual dexterity required to operate modern office equipment. - Ability to travel as needed or assigned.
Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including grooming, showers, and safety. Document all patient care within the electronic medical records system and maintain a high level of customer service.
