Description DAY SHIFT Certified Nursing Assistant - $5,500 Sign On Bonus Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team in a Day Shift CNA position. Shifts typically go from 6am to 6pm, on a "wagon wheel" schedule: Week 1: Work Monday–Tuesday Off Wednesday–Thursday Work Friday–Saturday–Sunday Week 2: Off Monday–Tuesday Work Wednesday–Thursday Off Friday–Saturday–Sunday The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the Skilled Nursing Setting. This position requires a strong commitment to patient well-being and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for patients. Responsibilities Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. Provide catheter care and assist with other medical procedures as directed by nursing staff. Support patients in rehabilitation exercises and mobility assistance. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and changes in condition. Document patient care activities accurately in medical records. Assist in preparing patients for examinations or procedures in outpatient or emergency medicine settings. Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Licenses/Certification Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment. Valid CPR certificate preferred. Experience Six months experience in a long term-care environment preferred. NOTE: A CNA who successfully completes an approved advanced skills training curriculum and/or has demonstrated experience in a needed clinical specialty area, e.g. ventilator, pulmonary, and tracheostomy (VPT), can be classified as a CNA II.
