We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. As a contract Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties Practicing within the limits of the nursing assistant job title, professional qualification and within the standards of the State of Utah. The work to be performed includes, but not limited to the following: Ability to work in a fast-paced Medical environment Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, and assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment Provide patient education and provide excellent customer service to patients and their families Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures Manage medical equipment and supplies. Measure and assess vital signs, height, weight, and neurological status, visual acuity, and hearing. Obtain and record patient vital signs and medical history, and screen patients for alcohol dependence, depression, etc. Collaborate and coordinate patient care with other health care providers. Perform quality control for capillary blood glucose monitoring checks, fridge temperature checks etc. Recognize life-threatening emergencies, initiate and maintain resuscitation measures, and other emergency procedures as appropriate to the situation. Answer and screen telephone calls Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records Additional Duties: Additional duties and responsibilities may be added to this job description at any time.
