The duties include helping patients bathe and maintain proper hygiene, feeding patients or ensuring they take their medication and assessing their patients’ vital signs to notify staff of any changes. Furthermore, this position will be primarily based in the Hospital, however, you will be expected to cross train and float to the nursing home and the Common’s Assisted Living facility  when the need arises.   Responsibilities: * The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) aids the professional nursing staff. * Grooming and bathing patients with low mobility * Preparing each patient room with necessary items like blankets, pillows, medical equipment, and bathroom needs. * Making sure patients have regular meals and proper medication dosage. * Represents the facility with integrity and treats every resident with dignity and respect. * Follows nurse instructions to perform procedures. * Complies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information. * Assisting patients with mobility needs, transferring them from wheelchair to bed. * Turning or adjusting patients in bed to prevent bedsores or other discomfort * Exercising patients by helping them walk. Requirements: * High school diploma or the equivalent is required. * Illinois CNA certificate is required. * CPR card is required. * Stellar customer service skills are required. * Ability to analyze and solve problems is required. * Ability to work independently with little general supervision is required. * Ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job. Physical Demands: * Must be able to speak and understand the English language. * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. * Must be able to move intermittently. * Must be able to assist patient/residents resident to and from bathroom if needed. * Must be able to assist patient/residents with meals if needed.  
Responsibilities
The CNA supports medical staff by providing essential care, including bathing, feeding, and monitoring vital signs for patients. The role also involves assisting with patient mobility and floating between the hospital, nursing home, and assisted living facilities.
