Job Description: CNA1 (inactive) To provide patient and family care as part of the health care team in accordance with the mission, vision, and policies and procedures of Bay Area Hospital. Working under the direction and supervision of the RN, provides care authorized by the OSBN for the CNA1. Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while maintaining patient safety. SKILLS AND ABILITIES Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location Ability to recognize and report abnormal occurrences Able to appropriately use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Knows the fire plan and escape routes for patient and self Demonstrates competence by ongoing completion of any or all of the following: Proficiency testing Skill demonstration Practice of core standards for service excellence Provides patient care and performs tasks using job skills, growth, and development knowledge Effective communication skills both verbally and written EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant 1 in the State of Oregon High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred EXPERIENCE GENERAL INFORMATION Union Affiliation: UFCW The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
