Certified Nursing Assistant – Neurology at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center – Spokane, WA Shift: Average 36 hours weekly, 12-hour night shifts, full-time position. The Nursing Assistant functions within his/her scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse to assist in providing care and implementing delegated activities of the nursing plan. S/he demonstrates an understanding of basic nursing skills and skills unique to the assigned clinical unit(s). Following orientation, s/he assumes delegated responsibility which may include (but not be limited to) such tasks as: meeting the hygienic, nutritional, elimination, activity, comfort and safety needs of patients; obtains and reports vitals signs (TPR and BP); performs urine reductions, transports (transfers, discharges) patients; obtains supplies/equipment as necessary from designated departments.
