Part-time Certified Nursing Assistant in our Long Term Care - day position, 6 am - 2:30 pm, 5 - 6 shifts/pay period (every 2 weeks). Every other weekend/every other holiday.  Weekend shift differential paid and holiday pay is time and a half.   Part-time benefits include: IPERS, Health, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability.  PTO accrual begins 1st day of employment. Works under the direct supervision of an RN.  Assists the nurse in charge by performing activities of daily living to the resident. Reports to: Charge Nurse /ADON/ Director of Nursing of LTC Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.    Assists with bathing, feeding, and caring of patients according to the level of skill and as directed by a nurse. 2.    Reports all significant information to nurse in charge of the patient. 3.    Works with other health care personnel within the organization. 4.    Does cleaning of patient units, equipment, and nursing service areas. 5.    Keeps Nurse informed of care rendered and duties performed. 6.    Answers call lights and alarms promptly 7.    Delivers patient trays, assists in feeding patients when necessary, records amount    eaten, and returns trays to kitchen. 8.    Fills out and collects intake and output slips at end of shift. 9.    Gives verbal report to nurse in charge at end of shift. 10.    Takes TPR's and assists with weighing patients as assigned. 11.    Assist with transferring patients by wheelchair or cart to other departments. Uses an assisted lift devise such as a gait belt or mechanical lift if indicated. Participates as a member of only a safe lifting team. 12.    Complies with hospital and nursing service policies. 13.    Attends staff meetings and inservice education when appropriate. 14.    Demonstrates willingness to support staffing and scheduling needs. 15.    Performs functions other than described above due to extenuating circumstances.
