Furthermore, this position will be primarily based in the nursing home, however, you will be expected to cross train and float to the Hospital and the Common’s Assisted Living facility when the need arises. The shift is 6am to 6:30 pm, with rotating weekends and holidays. There is a $3 shift differential for nights and a $4 shift differential for the weekend shift.    Responsibilities: • The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) aids the professional nursing staff. • Delivers direct care to patients as directed by the RN or LPN. Always maintains resident comfort and safety. • Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. • Represents the facility with integrity and treats every resident with dignity and respect. • Follows nurse instructions to perform procedures. • Complies with HIPAA Privacy Act by protecting confidential patient information. • Follows all policies and procedures to maintain a safe nursing home setting. • Participates in all training and continuing education. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • High school diploma or the equivalent is required. • Illinois CNA certificate is required. • CPR card is required. • Stellar customer service skills are required. • Ability to analyze and solve problems is required. • Ability to work independently with little general supervision is required. • Ability to perform the essential functions and requirements of the job. • Cross train and work in the nursing home and Assisted Living facility    Background and drug screen Disclaimer: All HMC employees are required to pass a Federal and State background check and pass a drug and alcohol test.
