Job Details Job Location: The Williamsport Home - Williamsport, PA 17701 Position Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Education Level: High School/GED Job Shift: Any Job Category: Health Care The Williamsport Home is now accepting applications for our CNA Class. Exact class dates to be determined. We are currently seeking applicants who are available to work day and evening shifts once they are certified. Why We Have Classes The Williamsport Home periodically offers CNA classes in an effort to both support individuals who wish to develop their healthcare career as well as to add caring and dedicated individuals to our team. Candidates are offered a part-time or full-time position in our facility at the conclusion of the class. How it Works Interested individuals submit an application. Applications are reviewed/Interviews are scheduled. Selected candidates complete the interview and class pre-test. Selected candidates are notified and offered a position. Selected candidates complete pre-employment screening steps listed below. Candidates are notified of class schedule at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the class Pre Employment Steps Drug Screen Physical TSPOT/TB Test PA State Police Criminal Record Check FBI Background Check, if applicable Qualifications Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility including a medical and physical examination. Must possess a High School diploma or Equivalent Must possess sight and hearing senses at all times or use prosthetics, which will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met. Must be able to walk extensively, sit for extended periods of time and bend, lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds frequently. Must be able to operate lifting equipment regularly and push and pull carts and/or resident transportation devices up to three hundred (300) pounds. Other demands include frequent arm, finger and low reaching movements and some occasional climbing and crawling. Required to reach, handle and manipulate equipment frequently. Moves intermittently throughout the workday. Works in and around all areas of the facility. Is subject to frequent interruptions and must then adjust schedule accordingly. Is subject to falls, burns from equipment, and reactions from smoke, disinfectants and other air contaminants. May be subject to handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, blood and body fluids, diseases, conditions, etc., such as TB, AIDS, and Hepatitis B viruses. May be subject to emotionally distraught residents, family members, visitors, personnel, etc. and must possess the ability to cope with the stresses of the environment. Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed and/or as outlined in the personnel policies.
Responsibilities
Candidates will participate in a CNA class and, upon certification, will be available to work day and evening shifts. The role involves providing care to residents and supporting their healthcare needs.
