Pursuit Aerospace in Prescott seeks a Full Time 2nd Shift CNC 5 AXIS Mill Machinists Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC 5 axis Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating CNC milling machines to fabricate precision aerospace components that meet stringent quality and safety standards. This role is critical to the production of high-performance parts used in aircraft and spacecraft systems. Responsibilities: * Set up and operate CNC machines for aerospace-grade parts. * Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine milling requirements. * Load finished and raw materials into machines and ensure proper alignment and tooling setup. * Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. * Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain tight tolerances. * Deburr, clean, and prepare machined parts for inspection or assembly. * Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues or dimensional inconsistencies. * Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including job travelers and inspection records. * Follow all safety guidelines, aerospace industry standards, and quality control procedures (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001). * Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any issues to maintenance or supervision. Required: * High school or equivalent * Experience in Quality Control function in a commercial or Aerospace environment (recommended) * Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English * Minimum 2 years running CNC mill machines in a production environment Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in a lean manufacturing environment. * Previous work in a company certified to AS9100 or ISO standards. * Familiarity with Daewoo, Hitachi Seiki, Hurco, or Fanuc-controlled CNC mills. * Technical school or CNC certification preferred. * 2+ years of experience operating 5 axis milling machines in an aerospace or precision machining environment. * Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). * Proficiency in reading blueprints and operating precision measuring tools. * Familiarity with aerospace materials such as aluminum, titanium, and Inconel. * Basic knowledge of CNC programming (e.g., G-code) is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Basic understanding of Macro’s and Renishaw probing Working Conditions: * Weekly Hours:40-50 * Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.  * Must be able to frequently stand and walk. * Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. * Must be able to have prolonged periods standing 8-10 hours a day Acknowledgements: The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
