Job Description: The Cooper Standard Livonia, MI manufacturing facility is looking to hire a CNC Bending Set-up / Operator. Starting pay rate: $24.00/hr Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM in addition to weekend OT. Position Summary: The CNC Bender is responsible for the setup, operation and training of new Operators on CNC bending machines and other rotary draw bend machinery. This role ensures that all parts are manufactured to customer specifications while adhering to safety and quality standards. Primary Responsibilities: Setup of CNC and rotary draw bend machinery. Operate CNC and rotary draw bend machines efficiently. Provide guidance and instructions to Operators for the safe and productive operation of machinery. Ensure all parts are built to customer specifications. Report any problems or abnormal conditions to the Shift Supervisor in a timely manner. Maintain housekeeping and health and safety standards are maintained. Adhere to all corporate and plant level rules and regulations. Support an attitude of teamwork and contribute to continuous improvements. Assist in achieving and maintaining IATF 16949 certification understands the importance of quality. Assists in achieving and maintaining ISO 14001 certification by understanding environmental responsibilities. Supports the BTO (Build to Order) program. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Capable of using micrometers and calipers. Decisions are limited to shutting down the process and contacting the Shift Supervisor when the potential exists of producing bad parts. Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Experience in CNC bending required. 3+ years preferred. Demonstrates on a continual basis, the ability to provide leadership and set examples for other employees. Has a thorough working knowledge of the respective cell and capable of providing training to other employees. Demonstrate a cooperative and committed attitude toward all employees, management and corporate objectives. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Work Environment/Work Conditions: Manufacturing atmosphere with long periods of standing. Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on the manufacturing floor. Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury. Physical Demands: Walking, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting 30+ lbs.
