JOB OVERVIEW

APEX is currently accepting applications for a CNC Boring Mill within its Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
The primary role of this position is to set up, operate, and maintain a Toshiba CNC Boring mill.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A college diploma in CNC or Manual Machining or equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Boring mill experience (i.e., Toshiba, Fermat, or similar).
• Probe experience (Renishaw preferred).
• Must have a strong knowledge of GD and T.
• Must be able to operate overhead crane and rigging equipment
• Able to read imperial & metric measurements.
• A strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.

• Setting up and operating CNC Boring Mill to specific parameters/measurements.
• Operate hand tools and precision measuring devices (wrenches, impacts, calipers).
• Read and interpret production documentation including blueprints.
• Maintain production schedules.
• Recognize and communicate areas to improve to the Machining Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Comply with all company policies.
