OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience with CNC programming and operation. This role involves working with advanced laser cutting technology to produce high-quality components while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically with laser operation or similar machinery.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks; familiarity with Fanuc controls is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints effectively.
  • Competence in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Experience with machining processes, including welding, assembly, and the use of calipers.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain laser cutting machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Interpret blueprints and CAD drawings to execute precise cuts and specifications.
  • Utilize CNC milling machines and CNC lathes for additional machining tasks as required.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and tools, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with team members in assembly processes, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and forklifts as necessary.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
