Description CNC Field Service Technician (Travel Role | Company Support Provided) Based Near Pekin, IL (Travel Required) $35–$55/hr. + Overtime + Travel Perks Monday–Friday | Day Shift Full-Time Be the Expert Customers Rely On If you’re the person who can walk into a shop, diagnose a CNC issue, and get the machine back up and running, you’ll thrive in this role. This is a hands-on field service position where you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines at customer sites. Every day is different, and your skills directly impact production. What Travel Looks Like Local and regional travel to customer sites Some overnight travel (varies by workload) Company support for travel expenses What You’ll Be Doing Travel to customer sites to service CNC machines Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues Diagnose and repair machine faults quickly and efficiently Perform machine installs, setups, and calibrations Work with CNC controls and identify system issues Read schematics, prints, and manuals to solve problems Train customers on basic machine operation and maintenance Document service work and communicate findings What You’ll Work On CNC machines and machine tool systems Electrical components, motors, drives, and controls Mechanical assemblies and precision components Tools & Tech Diagnostic and electrical testing tools Precision measurement tools CNC control interfaces and software Requirements What You Need 3–5+ years of CNC machine repair, maintenance, or service experience Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical) Ability to read schematics and technical manuals Comfortable working independently in the field Strong communication skills with customers Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel Bonus If You Have: CNC field service experience Controls/PLC troubleshooting experience Experience installing or commissioning machines Apply Today If you’re a skilled CNC technician who enjoys solving problems and working in the field, we want to talk.
