JOB SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Technician experienced with TRUMPF laser machines to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining TRUMPF laser cutting equipment to ensure precision cutting of metal components according to production specifications. A strong mechanical aptitude, quality mindset, and familiarity with reading blueprints are essential for this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience operating TRUMPF laser equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, tolerances, and metal types
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Basic computer skills; experience with TRUMPF software a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

    Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate TRUMPF laser machines (e.g., TruLaser, TruPunch) to cut, etch, or engrave metal components
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machine setup and operation
  • Adjust machine settings for material type, thickness, and part design
  • Inspect finished parts for conformance to quality standards using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting on TRUMPF lasers and related equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and quality protocols
  • Document production activity, issues, and downtime accurately
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize laser programs and improve part quality and cycle times
