Job Description: Cambridge Specialty Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team in Berlin, Connecticut. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to produce precision components that meet exact specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture parts according to blueprints and specifications Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions Install and adjust cutting tools Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) Make adjustments to work offsets as needed to maintain tolerances Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to improve processes and resolve issues Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred 2+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in reading blueprints Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials Ability to use precision measurement tools accurately Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination Work Environment: Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking fluids Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required If you meet these requirements and are interested in applying, please submit an updated copy of your resume to: Kaz: kaz@cambridgespecialty.com and Ray: r.may@cambridgespecialty.com Equal Opportunity Employer including Veterans/Disabilities
