JOB DESCRIPTION:

Candidate must be experienced in all functions of a machine shop floor operation.
Able to program, set up and trouble shoot a variety of CNC equipment.
Cutting tool selection, planning, designing and fabrication of required tooling/fixtures experience required.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Production Manager, programs, performs set-ups, and operates 3, 4 and 5 axis vertical and horizontal machining centers for both prototype and production.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of Programming with Geopath, Mastercam or Cam Works
• 3-4-5 Axis experience
• Programming for 5 Axis
• Experienced in cutting tool selection, planning, designing and fabrication of required

tooling/fixtures.

• Horizontal & Vertical experience
• Must have extensive experience in programming with Master Cam for 3, 4 and 5 axis

vertical and horizontal machining centers for both prototype and production.

• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience using hand measuring tools: calipers, micrometers, etc. and other mechanical equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Works well with others and does not require general supervision
• Good vision and hearing required
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to wear, protective eye and ear devices
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must have own comprehensive selection of tools and toolbox

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Candidate must possess the ability to comprehend and apply principles of modern algebra and trigonometry
