Description CNC MACHINE OPERATOR – 2nd Shift (10-hour shifts, Fridays off) Location: Oneida, NY Job Type: Full-time (2nd Shift) Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM (10-hour shifts, Fridays off) Description We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused CNC Machine Operator to join our 2nd-shift production team. In this role, you will operate CNC turning and/or milling machines and related equipment in accordance with company standards and procedures. This position plays a key role in maintaining production efficiency, part quality, and smooth shift handoffs. Key Responsibilities Operate CNC machines and related equipment per approved work instructions and setups. Perform basic in-process inspections (calipers, micrometers, gauges); document results as required Follow all safety and quality procedures (PPE, 5S, machine guarding, scrap reporting) Maintain coolant/lubricant levels and basic machine housekeeping Assist with tool changes, wear offsets, and simple program offset adjustments as directed Keep the work area clean and organized to promote efficiency and safety Accurately clock in/out of jobs and operations; record shift handoff notes for 1st shift Promptly report issues (quality concerns, equipment problems, material shortages) to the supervisor Requirements Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1+ year of CNC or machine operation experience preferred (willing to train motivated candidates) Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools effectively Basic math, communication, and computer/ERP data-entry skills Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Lift up to 50 lbs as needed Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working in a fast-paced environment Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for handling small parts, deburring, changing inserts/holders, and making precise adjustments; steady hand–eye coordination Work Environment Manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, oils, and moving equipment 2nd-shift schedule: Mon–Thu, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM (10 hours), Fridays off Salary $19.00–$22.00 per hour, plus $1.25/hr shift differential (commensurate with experience).
