Job Description: The CNC Machine Operator, 2nd Shift is responsible for machining parts utilizing Haas CNC mills. Job Details: 2:00 pm - 2:00 am Monday-Wednesday. Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours Starting pay $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience Onsite in Halfmoon, NY Job Responsibilities: Creates parts and follows procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations. Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy. Sets up tooling equipment, loads parts, reviews programming steps, and ensures adherence to quality standards and specifications. Responsible for performing first piece inspections on machined parts. Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Maintain a clean and neat work area. Skills: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 lbs. Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented. A self-motivated professional who thrives both independently and collaboratively in team environments. Performs effectively in fast-paced, dynamic settings, maintaining focus and adaptability. Exhibits sound judgement; anticipates the implications and consequences of situations and takes appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies. Prior experience operating HAAS mills and/or lathes, preferred. Associates Degree in industrial applications or machining, preferred.
