Job Title: CNC MACHINE OPERATOR I, 1st Shift

Monday to Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm

SUMMARY

Properly operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Accurately and in timely fashion measures all manufactured parts according to blueprint specifications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Knowledge of precision measuring tools.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have 0 to 2 years of experience with CNC machining.
• Operate CNC production machines, primarily mills and lathes.
• Follow documented processes using best and safe practices.
• Must know how to read blueprints.
• Must have knowledge of machining principles.
• Familiar with quality paperwork.
• Understand ISO and QS processes. Know how to determine Quality requirements and document quality.
• Maintain a high degree of quality.
• Willingness to cross-train and share knowledge and skills with others.
• Maintain required and accurate paperwork.
• Housekeeping/maintenance of work area and machinery.
• Identify and initiate product and process improvements.
• Safety- and goal-oriented.
• Perform in a team environment.
• Basic math skills.
