From elite testingequipment to strength and stretching machines, we offer it all. Come be a part of our team! We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Machine Setup/Programmer – Fabrication. We are seeking a Setup/Programmer who can maintain and produce a level of inventory of finished parts that will minimize delays in production. Setup/Programmers are responsible for ensuring that all required components are accurately fabricated for each assigned job. They operate both mechanical and computer-controlled equipment and must demonstrate strong technical aptitude in the use of tools and machinery. Because equipment issues may occur, Setup/Programmers are expected to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions, which may include adjusting G-code or modifying programming as necessary. This position is a temp-to-hire using a third-party agency. Employees are evaluated after 90 days andoffered a position with the company if they are meeting expectations.RESPONSIBILITIES Setting up and/or running vertical milling machines and/or lathe machines Hand-programming or editing G-code to ensure proper machine paths, feeds and speeds In process inspection of parts with standard QC equipment (calipers, mics, height/pin gauges, etc.) Diligent completion of travelers and logging in and out of jobs in MRP software Minor de-burr of parts with standard tools Select the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used Examine and measure completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform to predetermined specifications; adjust machine controls to resolve production errors Maintain cleanliness and safety of work area, and comply with safety standards and regulations Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Requirements COMPETENCIES Knowledge of fabrication equipment and its operations Minimum of 3 years' experience in a machining/fabrication environment 5 years preferred experience in CNC setup, machining and/or programming Computer literate and have excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic mathematical arithmetic knowledge Must have excellent attendance and an exceptional willingness to learn Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision High school diploma or GED Confirmation of a negative drug screen prior to starting Ability to stand in one area for up to 8 hours Ability to lift heavy loads numerous times throughout the day with or without a reasonable accommodation DESIRED EXPERIENCE Manufacturing: 6 months minimum Ability to operate CNC mills Great computer and technical skills Good attention to detail Strong team player Must be self-motivated SCHEDULE 8-hour day shift, 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Monday through Friday (some weekends may be required) COMPENSATION Non-exempt position; Hourly compensation between $23.00/hr - $30.00/hr (negotiable) Final compensation will be determined and based on experience This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs, and other considerations permitted by law Candidates for positions with Keiser Corporation must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
