Description

Based in Lincoln, Tradeglaze is a growing, award-winning manufacturer and installer of bespoke windows and doors. We work with trade, commercial, and domestic customers across the Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and South Yorkshire regions to supply innovative high-end glazing solutions.
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our aluminium window and door fabrication team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of our CNC to produce high-quality aluminium windows & doors to precise specifications. This role is essential to ensuring efficient production and maintaining the exceptional standards our customers expect.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a CNC machinist, ideally within the aluminium or fenestration industry.
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming and setup (experience with Emmegi machines / CAM Plus software desirable).
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in aluminium window and door fabrication.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific CNC equipment such as machining centres, double mitre saws, or end milling machines.
  • Knowledge of fenestration industry quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines for cutting, drilling, milling, and machining aluminium profiles.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication schedules, and work orders with accuracy.
  • Ensure all components are produced to exact measurements and within tolerance.
  • Carry out quality inspections on completed work to maintain product standards.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, quality checks, and machine settings.
  • Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines.
  • Adhere to company health and safety policies and promote a safe working environment.
