JOB TITLE: CNC MACHINIST – PART-TIME / FREELANCE

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team on a part-time or freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating and programming HAAS CNC lathes and milling machines, and be capable of performing tasks independently with minimal supervision.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 7 years of CNC machining experience
• Proficient in operating and programming HAAS CNC lathe and milling machines
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining issues
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certification or diploma in machining or related trade
• Experience with a range of materials including metals and plastics
• Familiarity with CAM software (an asset)

• Set up, operate, and program HAAS CNC lathes and mills
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
• Perform precision machining to meet exact specifications and tolerances
• Conduct routine maintenance and machine inspections
• Ensure quality control and production efficiency
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
