Description

Summary
Machinists will have a strong machining background, competent working on complex components while observing API Quality Management Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the company’s Core Values
  • Responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of themselves and others
  • Report any safety injuries or incidents that occur immediately and assist in investigations as required
  • Machine components using CNC equipment as per document requirements
  • Set-up and operate machines performing first article manufacturing when required
  • Record measurements and fill out inspection log sheets as required
  • Document and report any deficiencies as per Quality Management Standards
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on machines as required
  • Liaise with Team Lead to resolve any machining or assembly issues that may arise
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to run more than one machine when requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Journeypersons Certificate is an asset, however, prior experience as a Machinist is considered
  • Must be able read and interpret manufacturing drawings
  • Understanding of machine programming and control operations (Mazak, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens) is an asset
  • API threading experience is an asset

Additional requirement

  • Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be open to continuous learning and improvement

Physical requirements

  • Able to lift to 50lbs
  • Standing for long periods of time
