Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our client’s team in Dresden, ON region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture precision parts. This role requires expertise in CNC programming, tool selection, and blueprint reading to ensure high-quality production.
Pay - $23-$32/hour (Based on experience)
Shift - 8 hrs Rotating

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in 5-axis CNC machining/programming.
  • Education: Diploma or certification in Machining, Manufacturing, or CNC Programming (preferred).
  • Proficiency in G-code, M-code, and CAD/CAM software.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Experience with metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMMs, etc.).
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of machining best practices and materials.
Responsibilities
  • Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce complex components.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM models.
  • Create and optimize CNC programs using software such as Mastercam, NX, or Fusion 360.
  • Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining.
  • Perform machine setup, tool changes, and adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
  • Conduct first-piece inspections and adjust programs as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain tight tolerances as per specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams for process improvements.
  • Follow safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Perform regular machine maintenance and ensure proper tool care.
