THE ROLE

We’re looking for highly skilled CNC Machinists to join our day-shift workshop team in Pinkenba.
This is a labour hire role through our recruitment partner, Haynes People, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent HMG position for the right candidate.
You’ll be programming, setting, and operating CNC machines on a wide range of components - often large and complex - with the chance to work across multiple machines in a precision-focused environment. CAD/CAM knowledge is highly desirable, and this role is ideal for someone who thrives on producing accurate, high-quality work.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes and milling machines to manufacture precision components using Fanuc and Okuma controllers
  • Running multiple CNC machines efficiently and managing workflow to meet production targets
  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering and CAD drawings to produce jobs to exact specifications
  • Using CAD/CAM software (highly regarded) to create or edit CNC programs
  • Machining hydraulic cylinder components, shafts, and other heavy industrial parts to tight tolerances
  • Conducting in-process quality checks with micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
  • Performing machine adjustments, tool changes, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborating with workshop team members to troubleshoot and deliver on deadlines
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workspace in line with HMG safety standards
