Position: CNC Machinist Location: Warren, MI Pay: $27.28/hour to start Shift: First Shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.) Overview: A precision manufacturing company in Warren is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their growing team. This role focuses on high-mix, low-volume production where accuracy and craftsmanship matter. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and confident in setups, measurement, and tooling adjustments. Responsibilities: • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision metal components. • Work primarily with HAAS mills and lathes (experience preferred, but similar controls acceptable). • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine machining operations. • Perform tool offsets, change tools, and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and tight tolerances. • Inspect and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. • Maintain part quality within specified tolerances of ±.001. • Troubleshoot minor issues related to tooling, fixturing, and dimensional control. • Work collaboratively with the team to improve efficiency and product consistency. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Requirements: • 3–5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience required. • Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. • Proficient with measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. • Must understand tool offsets, setups, and tool changes. • HAAS experience strongly preferred (other platforms acceptable with transferable skills). • CNC certification preferred; may be waived with 5+ years of proven machining experience. • Experience with metal removal processes such as milling, turning, and grinding a plus. • Familiarity with SAP routing, BOMs, or AutoCAD is beneficial but not required. • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
