Job Summary The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and is responsible for maintaining part quality, safety standards & company equipment's. RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY:- * Follow all safety rules and policies provided by NOV. * Produce/Machine threaded Connections & parts as per the provided drawing and program. * Inspect and verify that each thread & part is generated as per the provided specification. * Follow all the guidelines provided by the Superintendent. * Maintain a neat and dean working environment. * Responsible for all company equipment's care, use, and protection. Know, understand, and follow all company and department safety rules. * Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent. * Perform job duties accurately and responsibly. Verify part and work order. BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- * Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments. * Study First article parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to Machining products and determine product dimensions and tolerances. * Math Skills: Good math skills will help CNC machinists understand complex instructions, w schematics work, and ensure items are designed and built correctly. * Problem-Solving Skills: - CNC machinists will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output, and how to fix errors. * Attention to Detail: - CNC machinists will work with precision equipment. Being off by millimeters & Inches (Thousandth of an inch.) could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required. * Mechanical and Technical Skills: - Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM technology. * Stamina: - CNC machinists often work long hours doing repetitive movements. * Conceptual Skills: - Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail, and Judgment. Qualifications (Education/No. of Years of Experience) :- * Industrial / Manufacturing Diploma post-High School or vocational training courses in mechanical engineering with 2 years of experience. * Work experience in Turner, Machinist, and Fitter trades. * Experience:- * DMG – Beta & Gamma * Mazak Machines (ST450, STN500/550M), * ROMI Machine (M33, M43), * Doosan (Puma700LM, DBC130L). * Oil & Gas experience in the manufacturing field. Skills, Training, special knowledge, and/or Language skills:- * Candidate must be familiar with operating a CNC machine, on Rotatory Shoulder Connections (API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, Vam, etc.) and HWDP (Drill pipe, Drill Collars, and Drill Stem Components).
