Job Description Summary This job is a Machinist. Duties are subject to change as the assigned mentor sees fit. The duties laid out below is intended to provide the necessary skills to be a technical Machinist or to be a mechanical lead in the shop in the future. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Read and interpret part drawings and process prints. Will be required to perform work efficiently with no supervision. Ability to perform run out check for an individual part. Ability to perform run out check for rotating parts like generator, Turbine rotor. Capable to do machining work on all stationary and rotating parts like Bearing, oil seal, shaft, etc. Ability to do reaming, drilling, tapping, etc. Ability to operate lathe machine, Tip grinding Machine without any supervision. Ability to do various machining work Capable to do burnishing and skim cut, patch ring, aluminum / cupper sleeves, threading, praising. Ability to perform Run out by Accuscan machine. Ability to operate the VBM. Ability to train and coach others. Work closely with Supervisors Engineer to ensure efficient operation of equipment. Will be required to perform efficiently with little or no supervision. Capable to use instrument for measurement check Follow 5S (Sort, stabilize, shine, standardize, sustain) Lean Principles, safety rules and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Diploma or Technical college degree or equivalent degree or relevant experience. Minimum of 3 years as a Machinist. Desired Characteristics: Diploma or Technical college degree or equivalent ( Mechanical , Electrical or similar discipline) 5 to 10 years as a total experience Ability to read and communicate in English. Curiosity and desire to learn and expand skill set. adaptable and open to change.
