Description JOB DESCRIPTION Job Summary: This position primarily focused on running the CNC machines and assisting other machinists in a multitude of tasks. Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Please be aware that each person at Golden may be asked to do a variety of tasks. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties and Responsibilities: Physical Demands: The employee will stand for extended periods of time and will need to be able to lift approximately 50-75 lbs. Work Environment: The employee will be working in a machine shop environment. Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers. Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders. Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations. Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines. Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers. Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process. Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products. Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency. Check work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated or cooled. Operate safety equipment, use safe work habits and follow all safety rules and regulations. Maintains a clean and organized work area. Ensure outputs are meeting documented requirements. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Golden Manufacturing product knowledge existent and new. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and effective presentation of program details and philosophy Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other specific business and Program/Office related software. Minimum Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED and 5 years of applicable experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience. Other Requirements: Completed health screening questionnaire. Cleared background check. Provided at least two professional references if requested. Responsibilities
