Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION:                       CNC MACHINIST I (2nd Shift) LOCATION:                      Chatsworth, CA SHIFT:                              4:30pm–1am (Monday through Friday)   Qualifications BASIC FUNCTIONS: * Responsible for operating one or more types of computer numeric-controlled production equipment.  CNC Machine Operation, Milling, Precision Machining * Ability to interpret Blueprints/Diagrams and Quality Requirements. * Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, work processes/products, company policy, and to make improvements or taking corrective action. * Selects appropriate settings and makes adjustments as necessary.  Troubleshooting * Follows established quality and safety standards.  * Basic understanding of machine tool clearances, fixture offsets, and cutting tool offsets. * Monitors machine operations and inspect machined parts to ensure job specifications are met. * Selects from a variety of standard methods to inspect intricate parts. * Highly organized individual with excellent communication skills. * Additional machining responsibilities as needed.       MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * 1-3 years of experience related to above duties. * High school diploma, 2 years of trade school or equivalent or combination of education and experience. * Effective Communication oral and written. SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES Language Skills: Ability to read, understand, and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedural documentation. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish) are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating computer numeric-controlled production equipment and monitoring machine performance to ensure parts meet specifications. They must interpret blueprints, perform troubleshooting, and maintain quality and safety standards throughout the production process.
