REQUIREMENTS

  • DEC in mechanical engineering/DEP in machining techniques or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a general CNC machinist.
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
  • Knowledge and use of tools in the field.

Responsibilities

ROLE AND PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The CNC machinist’s role is to produce simple and complex parts (5-axis) using computer numerical control machines. The CNC machinist ensures the quality of the produced parts by regularly measuring the pieces and adhering to prescribed tolerances.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform adjustments, assembly, and repairs necessary for manufacturing simple to complex parts (fixtures, parts, tools, etc.).
  • Use all required systems for equipment operation: probing, laser, XMII, CNC program transfer, etc.
  • Follow machining directives and complete all required documentation: routing, MOS, MIS, tool life, etc.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of cutting tools.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Actively participate in problem-solving, daily team meetings, new product development activities, and new tool development.
  • Perform tasks related to the TPM maintenance plan and 6S activities.
  • Perform deburring and inspection of parts or any other tasks related to operations.
  • Maintain continuity between shifts through documentation and communication of actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.
