The Programmer will work in our state-of-the-art Machine Shop that houses 50+ Mazak, Proto-Trak, Haas, and Hurco machines. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled and motivated CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team! * Measure dimensions of finished pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures. * Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments. * Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction. * Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of the finished product. * General maintenance during CNC machine operation Qualifications * 1 - 2 years CNC machining experience, knowledge of Hurco machines a plus * Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions * Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures * Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals
Responsibilities
The CNC Machinist will write programs using computer-assisted software like Mastercam for g-code programs on HAAS, Mazak, and Hurco machines within a large machine shop environment. Responsibilities also include measuring finished pieces, mounting tools, adjusting machine feeds and speeds, and performing general maintenance during operation.
