Position Title: CNC Machinist - Lathe Reports To: Shop Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time Hourly Rate: $25–$30 (based on experience) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire (depending on candidate and fit) We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate is experienced with CNC machining centers, capable of operating CNC lathes, has a solid understanding of Fanuc controls, and is proficient operating manual machining equipment. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude to ensure high-quality, efficient production in a collaborative shop environment. \n Essential Job Duties & Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to: Set up, and operate CNC Lathe to produce precision parts per specifications. Select proper tooling and fixtures, perform tool offsets and adjustments for optimal performance. Inspect finished parts to maintain quality standards. Maintain machines and work areas, performing basic preventive maintenance and reporting issues promptly. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and improve workflow. Contribute to a positive, team-driven environment, promoting communication and problem-solving across shifts and departments. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 2-4 years of CNC operating CNC Lathes. Proficient in G-Code Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, fixtures and tooling. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Proficiency using measurement instruments, including, but not limited to micrometers and calipers. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills (Non-essential) Ability to write and edit CNC programs, preferably CAD CAM Solid understanding of and experience with Fanuc controls Manual machining experience Forklift and hoist operation and general shop safety training Education High school diploma or equivalent \n
