Description
CNC Mill and Lathe machinists are responsible for production machining in the most efficient manner while meeting the drawing/planning/and other specification requirements. Work from drawings, verbal and written instructions to create parts. Under minimal supervision, perform set-up, operation and adjustments of CNC machines. Able to read and interpret CNC programs. May need to make offsets to programs. Requires knowledge of various metals and of measurement equipment used in the machining process. May assist and train less experienced machinists. Responsibilities and Performance: * Responsible for all facets of production, including set-up to F/A acceptance. * Completes quality production, efficiently, with minimal supervision/assistance. * Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection records. * Identify and recommend process improvement that reduce part cycle times. Qualifications/Desirable Experience: * At least 3years of CNC operation and/or set-up. * Experience with Haas & Fadal controls. * Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gages and various surface plate inspection techniques. * Knowledge of cutting tool S&F’s. * Has own Machinist Tools. * Programing & Leadership experience is a bonus.
