JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our advanced aerospace additive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and support post-processing of 3D-printed metal components. This role requires exceptional precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing aerospace-grade parts that meet rigorous specifications and industry standards.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathes and milling machines.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation for aerospace parts.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks).
  • Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM).
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing or other high-tolerance industries strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of additive manufacturing and post-processing workflows is a plus.
  • Mechanical aptitude with solid understanding of metalworking processes.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
  • Forklift certification or experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to finish and refine 3D-printed metal components.
  • Interpret complex aerospace blueprints, models, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines, optimizing tool paths for additive manufacturing post-processing.
  • Conduct inspections of machined and printed parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs.
  • Apply GD&T principles to ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance with aerospace tolerances.
  • Perform secondary processes, including surface finishing and electrical discharge machining when required.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, and machines to ensure reliable performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and additive manufacturing specialists to integrate subtractive machining into the full production workflow.
  • Contribute to process improvements through lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and aerospace quality standards throughout all operations.
