Job Details Job Location: Phoenix - 401 Building - Phoenix, AZ 85034 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $32.10 - $38.00 Hourly Job Shift: 1st Shift Position Title: CNC Machinist Reports To: Production Supervisor Location: Phoenix FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Direct Reports: None SUMMARY OF POSITION This position is responsible for providing technical assistance and oversight to all CNC machinists. This position also must operate the manual equipment This position is in Northstar’s Manufacturing Department, and reports to the Production Supervisor. The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary, but does not direct the work of other employees. This is a full-time position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below. This list is not all inclusive and may be amended by Northstar, from time to time. Assist teammates with technical issues Set-up and run Vertical, Horizontal and 5-Axis mills to machine complex rotor craft housings. Produce High Quality at the Source. Coordinates effort with data from CMM reports. Prove out new CNC programs during New Product Introduction. Perform precision machining operations on aerospace hardware Provides technical oversight and assist with all setup activities on CNC equipment Helps schedule resources in areas to ensure daily work is achieved Maintain highly efficient work process using Lean principles to support cost reduction activity Responsible for operating various CNC machines and equipment SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position will not direct the work of any other employees.
