JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients team in Fenton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating CNC machinery and possess a keen eye for detail. This role involves the precision machining of components, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards. The CNC Machinist will work collaboratively with other team members to optimise production efficiency and maintain equipment.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in SolidWorks and CAD software for designing and modifying components.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics injection moulding processes.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques and their application in manufacturing environments.
  • Experience using hand tools, tooling, and power tools effectively and safely.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to measurements and tolerances.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to advance their career in CNC machining within a supportive environment.
    Working hours are between 7am and 4pm Monday to Friday, with overtime available during peak.

Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines, including milling and grinding equipment, to produce high-quality parts.
  • Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine specifications and tolerances.
  • Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for assembly and finishing tasks as required.
  • Perform quality control checks on finished products, using basic math skills to measure dimensions accurately.
  • Collaborate with team members in troubleshooting issues related to machining processes or equipment.
  • Assist in the development of new machining techniques or improvements to existing processes.
