JOB SUMMARY

Proactive Personnel are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our clients production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines to fabricate precision parts and components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Skills

  • Setting/operating multiple CNC machines following standard operating instructions
  • Achieve relevant productivity levels
  • Follow H&S rules and regulations
  • Competent in Setting, Running and understanding a Mill Turn Lathe
  • Experienced in Mazak, Fanuc operating systems
  • Demonstrate experience within a manufacturing / precision engineering environment.
  • Be able to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately.
  • Confident in the uses of a variety of inspection equipment and methods to validate product.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to question and make decisions based on data and facts.
  • Working within a team to achieve departmental and business objective

General Skills needed:

  • Proficient in using CAD software, with experience in SolidWorks being advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of logic controllers.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and their application in machining processes.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Ability to assemble and fabricate components with precision and care.
  • Good Housekeeping skills in line with the company 5’s standards
  • Comply with H&S rules, Data Protection and the clients company handbook
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
