Located in Mississauga, Ontario, we export to over 30 countries in the world and provide packaging solutions for many of the top industrial packaging and food packaging multi-national companies in the world.
With over 150 employees and growing, TGM is continually searching for top talent. TGM is currently seeking an energetic, highly motivated and experienced CNC Machinistfor our Mississauga facility! The employee will be performing various job duties including but not limited to following:

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • CNC Milling Set up Technician: will include the set-up and monitoring of 1 or more machines on a priority basis.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts and products using micrometers, Vernier’s, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, co-ordinate measuring machines (CMM) or other precision measuring instruments.
  • 2D and 3D programming may be required at the machine center. Also, edit and improve cutter paths generated by programming department if you could improve efficiencies.
  • May be required to operate more than one machine at a time depending on work cell and production runs.
  • Convey any machine or operational issues daily, to ensure machine runs properly and procedures are followed accordingly.
  • Work in a team environment and assist junior machinist.
  • Work in a high precision environment and contribute to maintaining the specification of design and quality.
  • Work with established TGM standards and practices.
  • Complete work that you are responsible for in a timely and productive manner.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor/manager when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completion of College diploma or University Degree is required.
  • 3 - 5 years of CNC Machining experience.
  • Mechanical ability and understanding of engineering principles.
  • Ability to multitask, operate multiple machines at a time.
  • Understanding and experience with live tooling.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
