Okie Staffing is looking for a seasoned CNC Machinist (Set-Up Focused) to join a 2nd shift operation. This position suits a highly proficient machinist capable of independently setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery while ensuring precise tolerances and maintaining superior quality standards. Location: Jenks, OK Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM Pay: $18.00 to $25.00/hr DOE We are looking for an independent machinist capable of setting up and operating equipment with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, emphasizing precise tolerances and superior finishes. They should be a skilled problem-solver, able to tackle new and complex machining challenges effectively. Additionally, we value a team player dedicated to safety, accuracy, and productivity. Perform full set-ups, changeovers, and operation of CNC mills and lathes Work from blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models to produce precision parts Program and edit using G-code and M-code Run vertical 4th axis mills and CNC lathes with minimal supervision Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools Build tooling and assist with programming using SolidWorks / HSMWorks Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with programmers on complex jobs Maintain accurate documentation, inspection records, and job tracking Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and quality High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 5+ years CNC machining experience, with strong emphasis on set-ups and changeovers Proven experience with G-code and M-code programming Ability to operate CNC mills (including 4th axis) and lathes Strong understanding of blueprints and GD&T Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) in English Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAM software preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Frequent use of hands for handling tools and parts Strong visual acuity including close, distance, and depth perception Schedule: Monday – Friday | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM Pay: $18.00 to $25.00/hr DOE Stable 2nd shift schedule with consistent hours Opportunity to work on precision, high-spec components Hands-on role with real ownership of your work
